BLOGTRIP

Hi everyone, hope you had a wonderful weekend. So I thought I 'll use something exciting to usher you into the new week.

This year, I decided to move round the blogsville and interview bloggers. So I titled it BLOGTRIP.Today, I have got here a very good blog sister and pal. I would have love to gush about but that will spoil the fun. Instead, I would let you sit back and enjoy the interview.

__Me: Could you please introduce yourself?

__Frances: Hi hi everyone!
My name is Frances Oghenerukevwe Okoro.
You aren't allowed to call me my native name except you are a "personal person" sha. *winks*

__Me: When and What made you to start blogging?

__Frances: Ok, I started blogging in September 2013. I started up because I was always disturbing my BBM contacts with the words in my head and most of them wanted me to get a blog and "free them". Lol.
I'm only kidding.
But really, I started blogging because I had all these words streaming through my head and I knew that God had put them in me for me to share with others so I basically had to start blogging or be sentenced to writing behind my school notes(which isn't a cool thing I tell you)

__Me: You recently moved your blog to a permanent domain, what inspired that decision?

__Frances: Hmm, this question. It's a long story oh but I will try to make my answer short.
While I was in Law school last year, I basically started feeling like God wanted me to take blogging/writing for Him seriously (my blog is a christian blog).
And I was so scared at first, like "what about money? Small me? Oh no!"
But it all became clear at last, I had to move to my own domain and get this writing for God business SERIOUSLY started. And that's what I'm just trying to do.

__Me: In some of your posts,I read about your weight loss journey. Why did you decide to lose weight?

__FrancesGirl:I decided to lose weight because I didn't like my Christian mother arms at all.
Like seriously, I loved myself like crazy but my arms and tummy in one of the pictures that I was snapped on my 20th birthday gave me the push to get fit.
I wasn't even up to 25 but I was looking like a mother of 3kids.
I just got tired of being unhealthy and unfit and decided to change it.

__Me: How were you able to achieve that weight loss dream?

__Frances: I basically changed the way I ate and started exercising.
I was weighing 98kg then and I didn't even know my weight till I decided to lose the weight.
It shocked me when I stepped on the scale to see that figure and I got shocked into action.
I started jogging in school then, cut out junks-soft drinks, biscuit and all, started eating more protein based foods and good carbs and I also did some detoxing with fruits to cleanse my system before I changed the foods I ate.

__Me: Would you like to share what you weighed back then and now?

__Frances: Like stated already, I weighed 98kg in 2013 when I started my weightloss journey (I must have weighed more because I had already started my detox programme before I checked my weight for the first time)

As at yesterday, Saturday March 7th, the day before I wrote these answers, I weigh 74.3kg.

__Me: Frances, you are so full of passion and visions. I feel your vibrancy and energy every time I visit your blog. How did you become that woman?

__Frances: Passion and vibrancy kwa?
Heh! I'm flattered.
But seriously now, I guess that passion flows from knowing that God has a lot for me to do on earth.
He has a purpose for me to fulfill here on earth and my greatest desire is for me to fulfill what God has set me apart to do for Him from the beginning of time.
Fulfilling God's purpose for my life is even more important than marriage to me(not that marriage isn't sweet and important), so I try as much as possible not to slack at what God has placed in my hands.
I guess another reason why I am really passionate about fulfilling visions and set goals is because I know where I am coming from.
God turned this small girl's life around and I don't want to fail Him or let Him down.
All you see in me is all God.
That's how I became this woman - all God.

__Me: One of my favorite segment on your blog is "Lessons from when I almost dated an engaged man." Why did you start that column?

__Frances: Oh, the "lessons from when I almost dated an engaged man" is a post under the segment of "Frances's love letters" on my blog.
It's a segment where I write letters based on love and relationships from the Christian angle every saturday.
I wrote "lessons from when I almost dated an engaged man" from experiences I had had with a friend who was engaged to be married to someone else.
God had practically "ordered" me out of the friendship because feelings were getting involved.
I learnt so much from that episode and I only write and share things when I feel led to do so.
The incident happened last year but I only wrote and shared my lessons on my blog this year.
I shared that post because I thought that people could indeed learn from my experience and know that God is interested and concerned about who we court/marry and He has a plan for us all maritally.

__Me:OK, enough blog questions, let's move to some lighter questions. When did you have your first crush and what happened to him?

__Frances: Hahahaha!
First crush...
I think I was 14? Or 12? Or 10?
I don't know jor.
I sha know that there was one guy that I was liking who was always carrying weights in our compound then. He never gave me face sha.
Then at 14 I think I started liking phone pals I had never met before(small pikin things, mtcheeww)

__Me: I know you love movies, what is your favorite movie and why do you like it?

__Frances: Favourite movie?
Now this is hard to say oh.
Maybe "My sister's keeper"
Or "the vow"
Or "transcendence"
Or "the giver"
Or "the colour purple"
Or "courageous"
Or "Facing the giants"

Oh well, you can tell that I don't have a favorite.
I used to like the romantic movies and autobiography movies like "biography of Margaret thatcher" but these days, I don't watch too many movies anymore and I tilt more towards the christian movies like "fireproof"
I am selective with what I watch now and I'd rather watch something what adds positively to me (with maturity comes sense I guess? :-)

But I really do love "the notebook" though.
Do you know that the husband and wife both died on the same day in each others arms in that movie? *sniff sniff*

__Me: What is your dream man like?

__Frances: Don't get me started on this, the list is longggg! Lol.
But thankfully, God has dealt with me about this list thing. You will have to read the post under Frances's love letters on my blog to find out about the lessons on "the list".Hehe
But seriously, the first thing he must be is a man that loves God.
Not a Christian for mouth, a man that places God above everything, even me.
He should be matured, not just in age, in brain too.
He should have found God's purpose for his life as we can't just be moving on a merry-go-round chase, what am I to help him with if he has no destination?
He should be hard working of course, lazy men are appalling.
It would be great if he is soft spoken as I tend to be really outspoken with strong mind set (God is working on that)
And eh, it won't hurt if he doesn't have a pot belly... God please, let him be one that takes fitness as seriously as I do. please.lol
The inner attributes are more important than the outer though, the outer ones are "jara". But God is able and will give me more than I set my human sights on.

__Me: What is your favorite outfit combo?

__Frances: Outfit combo kwa?
I'm not a fashion person oh.
Gimme jeans and top any day and I am good. Lol.
But I love gowns, I think they make a lady look elegant.
And I love it when I wear tucked in shirts in corporate pants, complete with really high heels. Now, that makes me feel fly! Lol

__Me: What is the most embarrassing moment you have ever had?

__Frances : Embarrassing moment?
I don't think I have ever said this out loud to anyone before.
When I was at boarding school(secondary school), I mistakenly oh, farted (messed) at prep class one day.
It was a loud one and so embarrassing!
I couldn't say anything at all and one wicked senior was just shouting "who did that?"
I wanted to melt in my seat!

__Me: Tell us something that blogsville doesn't know about Frances?

__Frances : What does blogsville not know about me????
I cry when I don't get what food i'm craving at the time to eat... I already wrote this in my 20things about me post on my blog.
*Thinking*
I can pinpoint anything

__Me: Thank you Frances, do you have any parting words?

__Frances: Just thank youuuuuu!
I hope I nailed the questions.
Thanks for having me on here.
Cheers babes!

There you have it people! Here is a stunning picture of Frances below;

Guys you should go hang out with Frances.Trust me, there is no dulling moment with her.

Another would say " just hit the nail on the head". But we all know what the nail can do it head ,it can kill! So let's just go straight to the point. lol

Since my tab crashed, blogging has been difficult for me because I have to use my phone. I had so much frustrations with the blogger app that I was using. One of the problems I often encountered, was loading pictures in the desired places. I also had issues with link backs, writing in italics, and bold fonts anywhere I wanted.

Then God sent me an angel, a life saver .....BLOGGEROID!!!!!

Roftl. Don't mind my funny way of introducing the app.Seriously, it has reduced my stress on blogging. It easy to use,the instructions are clear and simple. It's available on Google store. If you host your blog on Blogger, and have difficulties blogging, you should try it out. It is indeed a life saver or maybe I should called it blog saver. lol

MY BEST MAN 2

Hi people, how are you doing. Last year,  I was working on a project, a novel.Yeah! I know I abandoned it but I am back to it. If you missed the part 1 Click here
Enjoy.

Tale got home and could not stop thinking  about Alvin. "Did you see his eyes?" she said to herself. "Oh my! He is so gorgeous and those biceps bulging under his buba, (sighs) he must have being it out at the gym. I wonder what his chest will look like". "Stop it Tale!"  she scolded herself "You had better get your dress ironed  or you will borrow Alvin's buba and sokoto for work tomorrow." She grinned sheepishly as she stood up.
************************************
Mr Harry had gotten to the office early as always. He tuned on his favorite Frank Edwards song "Mma Mma" and started singing aloud.
Tale walked into the office fifteen minutes later. She heard the song blaring from his computer just before she entered the accounts department. "Not again!" She said. "Na wa for Mr Harry o! this song has turned to national anthem. He does not  even know the lyrics. Chai!! Frank Edward don suffer for Mr Harry O!"
"Good morning Mr Harry" She said, as she walked to her desk.
"Hey! Tale, how was your weekend?"
"Twas very fine sir" she replied.
"Did you end up going for your school mate's wedding?" He asked.
"I wanted to....."
"Happy new month people!" Chioma buzzed as she walked in. Chioma and Tale were both accountants and they worked together with Mr Harry who is the Head of Accounts.
"Babe!" Tale said eyeing Chioma tastefully from head to toe. "This your outfit is really hot o! Is someone taking you for dinner today?"
"Chioma chioma",  Mr harry jabbed."Did you hook a fish during the weekend?"
As their chattering went on,Wale opened the door,  "Guys its time for our Monday meeting."
***********************************
Taleeee!!!! screamed Mr Harry. "Have you processed the transfer to Corum?"  "Yes Sir" she replied. "Then why haven't we gotten the Telex copy? Anyway, take the documents you used in processing the transfer to the MD now!"  Tale rushed past him to her desk.
Mr Kasali is the MD/CEO of Swartz Construction. A man with a medium build but highly respected because of  his business intelligence and managerial acumen.
She walked into the MD's office quite shaken. "Good morning sir," she said as she walked in. Mr Kasali looked up from his desk. "Haha Tale! How are you?Ture said he has not seen the Euros transferred to his account."
"Sir" she answered, "I took it to the bank for processing immediately and I also called Lydia, the liasion  officer to confirm if it had been sent and  she did."
"OK ,would tell Ture to hold on for a while. What about the payment for the iron rods/granites?
"Sir, the memo has been raised but there is no authorisation for the payment."
"Why didn't you tell me?" Mr kasali screamed as he banged his fist on desk. "You know we have a deadline on that project  and you are still dragging your feet on it. Now you get out of my office and do your job."
"Sorry sir" Tale said as she rushed out of his office and bumped into someone.
"Oh!I am so sorry." She quickly apologized and hastened to her office  without looking up.
*******************************
"Whew! What a day!" Tale said as she  headed for her lunch break. As she climbed down the stairs, She saw an angel walking towards towards her ,he was perfectly sculptured and ravishing. Oh dear! She muttered to herself "he is too handsome to be human."
"Hi" he said as he got to her. "We met earlier when you bumped into me on your way out from Kasali's office."

"Oh! I am sorry. That was you? I didn't m......"

"It's ok" he answered. "By the way, I am Reynold, its nice to be meet you and you are ?"
"Tale" she answered.
"I will see you around Tale," he smiled and walked away.
"Bamm!" (Sighs) "I really like fine boys and I am glad they dig me too. Omg! Its 2.45pm, I better hurry unless there will no lunch for me, she said as she rushed out.

On The Attitude Thingy

So I have been reading this book by one Keith Harrell, I checked him out online found out that he had mentored a lot of people and influenced them greatly.
Bad news ,Keith died in 2010. I was so sad to read this but the good news is,his legacy of good attitude lives on.
Here is an eulogy of him from one of the people who knew him:

"I have never known a man whose heart and mind were so filled with love and kindness,” said Ross Shafer, friend and fellow speaker. “No matter what frustration I shared with Keith, I was always energized and encouraged by hearing his voice and positive advice. I know he will guide us by his teachings, his example of how to live life, and his ongoing presence. Keith's light is so bright he will always shine in our hearts and in the hearts of the people he touched.”

So now to the book. This book is titled "Attitude is Everything". Its a wonderful book on how a good attitude in every circumstance can transform one's life . I can't download all the content on my blog ,that would take almost 200 pages.lol

But I would like to share a particular story in the book . Keith's words are in inverted comma ,my own words are in bracket. This is the story of a man named Charley.

"I got fired from having a bad attitude. My boss told me that I was doing a pretty good work, but my negative attitude made it tough on him and everyone else in my department." (Mehnn!! You must be one angry dude)
"I had a few weeks to think about it , while I was looking for a job. My attitude had not helped me at all .I had done all the work I was supposed to do ,and I had done it as well as anybody else."( hmmm! but dem still fire you? Nawa o!)
"But instead of being recognized for doing a good job ,I got fired for having a bad attitude ." (Lobatan!)
"It was pretty obvious I needed to change my attitude."( l second the motion)
"In my next job,I promised myself that whatever happened, I would stay positive and do my job. I wasn't going to let my attitude get in the way of my job security and advancement. The second week I was there ,they start downsizing (Down..wetin? Haa! Mogbe!)
To be continued.........

Guys if you were Charley what would you do? Would you still maintain positive attitude?

Natural Bandwagon

Hi people, hope you are enjoying the weekend.Big shout out. o my girl Frances. I know you checked my blog couple of  times while I was inactive. It so good to have you checking on me at intervals.

OK, now back to the point.I have always loved the natural hair movement. For the past 2years,I have been checking out different channels and blogs on how to style natural hair .I have tried a few of those styles. Some turned out well and some not so well.

I have not  relaxed my hair since my wedding ( I think) .  I  have so much natural undergrowth now but I still have my relaxed ends .Lets just say I am carrying natural/relaxed hair right now.Lol.

Lately I have been experimenting with natural hairs and I decided to try out cornrows ,but in naija,we call the hairstyle "weaving".lol.
So,I gave my cousin a picture of what I wanted and she designed my head with some beautiful weaving.
When she was done ,I styled the ends my own way.

After some days,I put some gel on the ends, braided it and made it to bantu knots to achieve a curly look ( picture of curly ends unavailable).

What do you think guys?

Whistling!!

Hallo! Its really been a long time I have been here .I can imagine how many cobwebs I grown on my blog, which means I have to dust, scratch and scrub to get rid of the cobwebs. I really miss blogsville and my friends , and I can't wait to catch up.

If you asked me the reason for my absence,I would prefer not to give excuses. Yes ,2014 was stressful (really stressful because of long hours of working and I was also adjusting to my new family but I guess I could have attended to blog if I tried harder. Anyways,it's a new yet and am set to rock blogsville.

.Cheers

NOTHING TO WRITE

Blogging can be so much fun if you love to write but sometimes it can be depressing with nothing to write. Ever heard of anything called writer's block? Hmmm, now you are wondering ,what in the world is writers block?  Definition;it is when a writer's head goes blank and there's nothing to write. Ever experienced that before? Well I do sometimes and it makes me panick.

I write spontaneously and as result of this, my head/brain is constantly thinking and analyzing. So, when I have nothing to write,I am kinda depressed because I hate silence.
Well,on this particular day, I was experiencing wb (my abbreviation for writer's block). I was upset as usual, then a thought came to my mind. I thought "what if silence is a good thing?"  Maybe it's a time to calm down and stop trying  to solve the whole world's problem. Lol (i often feel responsible for a whole lot of people). My thoughts also went to Isaiah 42 vs 10  which says "Be still and know that I am God."

Silence can be a moment to be treasured if we chose to see it that way. Infact,God speaks more in silence. One reason why  we don't hear God often is because our ears and minds are jammed with internal and external noise. There so much noise coming at us from the media, even long hours of work and too much daily activities can stress us and keep us from hearing God.We have to learn to be still and tune out the noise for a while. How can you tune out noise and tune in to God? For some, being still requires putting off the radio, television and other gadgets off for a while. For others, it is keeping off activities for a while. For me,it is to stop analyzing for a while and focus on God. Whatever you have do to so you can hear God,do it.

This post was born out of  my wb moment.I did get something to write after all.

Have a wonderful November peeps! I kind excited because Christmas would soon be here.
Christmas is coming the geese are getting fat *singing*

THE AGE THING

Ever heard that cliche that age is just numbers? please!!! I beg to differ. Age means a lot ,its not just numbers. Just hold on while I prove my point.

If you are from the yoruba  tribe, you would be familiar with the adage that says "Ko si bi omode she le laso to,ko le la akisa be agba". Translation-- No matter how many clothes a young person has ,he/she can't have worn out clothes /rags like an elderly person. Me and my sister would jokingly reply to that adage by saying  "how many elders have crazy jeans".LOL.  This adage simply points to the fact that elders have gathered wisdom through experience over the years.

I grew up as a shy kid but I learnt to loosen up over time. I have been more daring in a good way  as I grew older. My sense of style has increased with age. I have taken more decisions in accordance with purpose . I have learnt to withstand peer pressure more. I can get along with people more. My desire for God has increased. I have become bolder in speech and in deeds. I also admit that I have become naughtier and a little troublesome.(Tongue out)

Check out my style *winks*

If you still  think age doesn't matter, read on. I did a survey (more of verbal interactions and data collection) about the diffrence between women who married  around 18-24yrs and the ones who married from 25yrs upwards. Well, I was told that most of the women in the first group at a time felt trapped in their marriage because they felt they should still be enjoying their youth. Some even said those women wished they had waited a little while and not marry that early. Well, the second group (25 years upwards) were said to cope and adjust better to marital life.

Now to the older folks ,have you noticed that we see more older women in church than men? Seriously ! no offense guys, but I personally believe that women are more committed to God than men in Nigeria. Well, take it or leave it,as humans grow older and notice that the grave is getting nearer, they begin to search more for God.  Women who lived life....I mean rocked and gyrated life ( you know what I mean), as they grow older they realize that they can't continue to live their life that way so they turn to GOD. This also applies to men. Maybe, its because they are seeking miracles but at least  it a wise decision to run to God in time of need.

Choosing a life partner is a very big issue which should not be taken lightly. I have heard of marriage successes just because a child choose to listen to its parent's counsel on choosing a life partner. Parental guidance on marriage comes as a result of wealth of experience and wisdom ,those parents have amassed over the years.Young people are not the best to listen when making this choice except the young person is deeply rooted in Christ and counseling under the unction of the Holyspirit. Your parents are not suppossed to choose for you but they are to provide counsel and guidiance when making this choice. Even when parents make unrealistic demands ,patiently vet their decisons with prayers .If they are leading you through the wrong decision, the holyspirit will change their minds, but if they keep insisting, then maybe God is trying to tell you something about your choice. My mother is a testimony of a marriage success, her father didn't choose her husband for her but she listened to a single guideline that he gave her in making a choice. The same happened to me, I am stiill young in marriage but I listened to parental guidiance while choosing and I thank God today for that. Enough said .This is not a marriage counselling forum.lol

Oops!!

People's attitude, words, dressing and deed have change overtime asthey mature physically. I agree that not all old people are mature and give wise words but i strongly hold the opinion that age has something to do
with wisdom and better actions.

Holla at me if you think otherwise......cheers!!!

INDE-----------PENDENCE

I remember  when I was very young and I struggled to learn the the national anthem and pledge by heart.

After a lot of singing blunders like "Arise o compation!!! Nigeria co obey. To sa our faaaaaaa!! With love and strength and fe. One Labour of our heroe past shall never be in vain . To serve with ah ah ah!. One nation bound with freedom. PEACE AND UNITY!!! Chai! I can't believe I once sang like that. But I really tried o. Maybe this was one of the reasons I decided to quit my singing career (that's if i ever had any ) lol

Learning the pledge was more easier for me . No way!you had enough laugh ,I wont tell you how I recited my pledge then. My sister once wrote an article called  Inde--fucking--pendence (Oops! that's foul language ,I know but I am not the type who uses foul language,so bear with me. She titled her article that way because of  a whole lot of mess happening in Nigeria at that time.( This article was years back). She talked about the break down in the economyand Nigeria' system of government and it was really overwhelming. Any skeptic would have applauded her for a good write-up execept for the  heading.

Looking at Nigeria today, things have grown worse. Terrorism has heightened, corruption is spilling over,Injustice has become a norm. Oppression of the masses is seen as destiny. As we celebrate Independence today, I reflect on Nigeria's situation. It seems as if we are growing worse as we get older and I am tempted to agree with my sister's write-up by adding  foul language to Happy Independence Cliche. But then ,hope rose within me. I choose to believe in this nation,I chose to pray for this nation,I choose to be patriotic about this nation.People curse and speak evil to Nigeria a lot , little do they know that their words are seed that grows into manifestation. These words have effect, most especially, when its coming from a son of the soil (A Nigerian). I choose not to be part of this .

I believe in a glorious Nigeria in future, where white people will struggle to get visas to our country. It is possible if we will get down on our knees and pray for Nigeria

I believe there is hope  for Nigeria ,do you believe?

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:“May those who love you be secure.Psalm 122vs6 (NIV)

Nigeria is our Jerusalem.HAPPY INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATION!!

Love Out Loud (Hardcover)
Jesus said, 'You must love the Lord your God with all your soul, mind and strength; and love your neighbour as yourself.' If you had to choose a single verse in the Bible that is a formula for successful living, this would be the one to live by, says Joyce Meyer. Many Christians get mixed up about love. They know they should love God, they know they should love others - but they don't understand what it means to love themselves. Joyce believes that this misconception is one of the greatest pitfalls in the Christian journey. Loving oneself in a balanced, healthy manner is essential in order to have healthy relationships with God and others. Through these inspiring and thoughtful devotions, readers will learn: How to fall in love with God because of who He is rather than what he can give us Why we cannot truly love ourselves until we truly love God Why we must love ourselves in order to love others - because it's impossible to give away something you don't possess Practical ways to put these principles into action and enjoy richer relationships This powerful volume combines the trademark practical teaching, sound psychology and useful insights that Joyce Meyer is known for and will form a firm basis for devotions for years to come.

How To Hear From God

Joyce Meyer says, God speaks to us in many ways; they include but are not limited to His Word, nature, people, circumstances, peace, wisdom, supernatural intervention, dreams, visions, and what we call the inner witness - a knowing deep inside. She added. Learning to hear from God and be led by the Holy Spirit is very exciting. God wants to speak to us about the plan He has for our lives. His plan is a good plan, but we are in danger of missing it if we don't learn how to listen to and obey God's voice. Buy Here...

HOTTIES OF THE BIBLE (The males)

Hey guys! How is your week going? Hope it's going well.I know you have seen my post title and starting to wonder if I am working with the E! Channel. Nah,am not. In fact you are tuned to the G! Channel and here is presenting the hotties of the bible .
C'mmon!  don't get all spiritual on me ,we all like hot boys. Well,my own version of hotties is so different but very tasteful... Enjoy:

Hottie No1: Joseph..... Yep! He made the list. This little lad who dreams and talks a lot ended up being a prime minster in Egypt. Interesting, huh! but that's not why he made the list.
Flashback to when he was serving Potiphar (his master) and his wife tried seducing him but Joseph ran and refused to consent(Genesis 39). Now,if that happened in the present day and he (Joseph) told his friends about it he would have been called a FOOL. You will hear comments like "what! You just refused a free ass,you got to be kidding me" or Dude! you are big time slacker!!!.
Joseph took the high path and refused free sex...now that's hot!!!
If Joseph were your husband or boyfriend today, you wouldn't have to worry about him cheating. Faithful guys are hot guys.

Hottie No 2: Daniel......Daniel (sighs) anytime that name is mentioned, I picture someone with someone so much intelligence and a larger than life brain. This bible dude was full of wisdom yet he acknowledged God as his source of wisdom. That's one point for u D. He wowed the Babylonian kingdom with his wisdom but he remained humble..two points for you boy.
Why did he make my hotties list? In Daniel 6:1-28,he still went ahead to pray despite the king's decree against praying to anyone except himself. Any one who disobeyed that order would ended up in detention ...oops! sorry I meant lions den. Did u say lions?God help me today if someone threatened with me with a newt not to talk of  lions den.But this dude went ahead to pray to the one true God and of course he ended up in the lions den. He showed courage even with the threat of death sentence. We all love movies with handsome war heroes. Daniel wasn't a war hero but was one courageous man. If he was around today he would be the guy who shows courage even in face of adversity. That's so hot. And who doesn't like a courageous man. We all want them as fathers, husbands and sons.

Hottie No 3: Joshua..... He came to spotlight after the death of Moses with the mantle of leadership falling upon him. But most people don't know that this dude had been a backup singer for Moses long ago( Exodus 24:13).
He was also a God chaser (Exodus 33:11). And why is he on my list? Remember the 12 spies sent out to Canaan? Yea,josh  was one of them. This spies came back and reported how good the land of Canaan was but 10 of them never believed they could conquer Canaan. In fact their words brought depression to the Israelites but josh was one who encouraged the Israelites and assured them that God was able to win the land for them (Numbers chapters 13&14)This man showed faith and was optimistic about their quest, little wonder he became the next judge after Moses. If he was around today,he would be the father who believes God for great things on behalf of his family. He would be that husband who encourages his wife to fulfill her God given purpose. He would also be the father who encourages and prays for his child who is not doing well in school. The list of things he can achieve is boundless because of his faith in God and his positive attitude
This kind of man is a very appealing man.

OK that's enough for now .For more episodes of bible hotties stay tuned to the G channel.

PS: If you are still wondering about the meaning of hot/hottie,well it's just the modern way of describing something  that is cool, nice, handsome ,beautiful ,lovely etc.

Fyi,the G channel is God's channel.

HITCHED...FINALLY!!!

There comes a time in every young woman's life (almost every woman ) when she decides to shed the skin of spinsterhood and put on that of married life .That happened to me on 19th July 2014.

I married the man I chose to love, trust ,cherish and grow old with. How we met? hmmm, that one's is a big story and of course a laughable one.
Sincerely, God and life are full of surprises as well as my new husband. I hate surprises but it is beautiful when a good surprise comes your way. Oops! Can't believe I just said that.

I know my friends are hitching to hear details of the wedding, slow down peeps, I just got married ( *tongue out). I will soon dish out the juicy details as I was directly involved in the planning.
So grateful to God for taking me through the spinsterhood journey. It wasn't easy, most especially if you are girl trying to please God. At a point, it seemed that a truly godly man was hard to find but I eventually found my best man. To my single girls, the lord will give your best man very soon.
I would have love to share all  pics now but I don't have it all yet. Here is a sneak peak of our wedding.

Cheers>>>
